Catering FAQ

What kind of food do you serve?

We offer "comfort foods made from superfoods"™. Farm Cut meals include seasonal fruits & vegetables, pasture-raised meats, wild fish, and free-range eggs without a trace of dairy, gluten, soy, refined sugar, or harmful additives.

We cook only with all-natural olive, avocado, and coconut oils, season with healthful herbs and spices like rosemary and turmeric, and sweeten using natural ingredients like dates and wild honey. We design each meal to maximize every ingredient's nutritional value and flavor, and prepare balanced, generous portions that nourish your body and mind.

Tell me about your menus.

Our menus change three times a week with vegetarian options always available. Our meals are packed with nutritious, flavorful superfoods and we provide details on the health benefits of the dishes on our menus.

Can I customize the menu?

Our menus are designed to maximize seasonality and change often for variety. It is possible to make adjustments, but fully customized menus are currently not available.

What can you do for people with allergies and dietary restrictions? 

Various diets are our specialty! We can accommodate most dietary restrictions with options for vegan, vegetarian, paleo, gluten-free, dairy-free, and more.  Please inform us of any food allergies. We label all meals that contain nuts or seeds, but we do prepare our food in a kitchen that is exposed to tree nuts.

Do you do tastings?

We can accommodate tasting requests with five business days notice for up to 15 people. Please contact our catering office (catering@farmcutmeals.com) to schedule a tasting.  Tastings are priced per person based on number of menu items.  The cost of the tasting will be credited towards the next catering order.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver in Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn.

What’s the order minimum?

Minimum order is $500.

How much notice do I need to give for a catering order?

We usually require at least three business days’ notice for orders.

What is the average cost per person?

Start at $12 per person for breakfast and $18 per person for lunch. Prices vary with seasonal availability and types of proteins.

How do deliveries work?

We provide drop-off catering. Your fully-prepared hot and cold food will be served in catering trays and bowls and dropped off to your delivery address by the Farm Cut staff. We offer half-hour delivery windows (e.g., 11:00am to 11:30am, 3:45pm to 4:15pm, etc.). Our earliest delivery window is 7:30am to 8:00am, and our latest is 7:30pm to 8:00pm.

When should I schedule my delivery?

We recommend that you leave 30 minutes between the end of your delivery window and when your guests arrive, so you have time to set up your buffet. When we deliver, we simply drop off the food and corresponding menu cards.

Will you help me set-up?

If you would like help setting up, please let us know. Charges for set up start at $25. We must also allow for a longer "set up" window.

Are you licensed, with health permits and liability insurance?

Yes, all of our trained staff have their food-handling licenses, etc. and our company has liability insurance.

How are the items on your menu packaged, presented, served, etc.?

All of our hot food is provided in aluminum hotel pans to keep it warm. Our cold menu items are placed on, or are in, sturdy catering trays or bowls with pop-off lids. They are fully garnished and ready to serve. Due to space, time, and handling constraints, we are unable to use your platters or other serving dishes.

Will my order come with plates and napkins?

Yes, if you request them. All orders have the option to come with eco-friendly, disposable plates, cutlery, cups, and napkins for a small additional charge. Serving utensils are always included.

How do I pay for my order ?

We require a credit card to guarantee all orders and a catering agreement no later than five business days before the catering drop-off.  Payment is due no later than two business days before the catering drop-off. Orders will not be fulfilled if payment is not received two business days before the catering drop-off.  Acceptable forms of payment are: major credit cards (AMEX, Visa, Mastercard); ACH or wire transfer.

Should I tip on my order?

We do not automatically add gratuities to catering orders. We are often asked if tipping is customary, to which we respond that some customers do and others do not. It is up to you. Gratuities are shared among all who helped prepare and execute your order.

Can I change my order once it has been placed?

We are usually able to accommodate changes made at least three business days before the catering drop-off. Please note that we consider all orders final two business days before the catering drop-off and are not able to make any changes after this time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel your order. Orders that are canceled less than two full business days before the catering drop-off will not be refunded.
