Superfood Spotlight Series: Chia Seeds

Chi-chi-chi-chia seeds! These supercharged black or white seeds originating from Central and South America are small but mighty! In water, they can absorb up to 10 times their weight, meaning they can help you feel full longer. This plant-based, high-protein source is a great option for vegans and vegetarians, as well as those considering or already on a weight-loss journey. The combination of fat, protein, and fiber found in chia seeds makes them an excellent, slow-burning energy source to help regulate blood-sugar levels throughout the day.

In just one serving of chia seeds (two tablespoons), there are a ton of nutritional and anti-inflammatory benefits.
